Nike Air Mask

Collaboration with Zurich based fashion designer Ilja Kaeger. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Ilja worked on a prototype of a design piece for his new collection. The idea was to upcycle old sneakers in order to create decorative textiles. Growing up in the 90s, the iconic design of the Nike Air-Max 90 was always a big stylistic influence for us. Thats why Ilja used exactly the same parts of the shoe to build a new shape. Since materials were limited in the real world (especially during the COVID-19 pandemic), we tried to explore the possibilities in a digital space and look for new aesthetics in the field of virtual fashion.
